Hello Everyone!
Merry Christmas!  I hope you are having a great day!  I will be travelling over the new year so I won't be posting for a week or two.  I also have a drawing for you today.  I used colored pencils and my white gel pen for the glare marks.  Thanks so much for supporting me through this year and I'll see you in 2015!

DIY Paper Gift Bow

Hi everyone!
I'm going to show you a really fun way to make bows to decorate your gifts in 5 steps!  All you need is some paper in any color, scissors, a pencil, and tape or glue.  Let's get started!

1. Fold your paper of choice in half and draw on these shapes.

2. Cut your shapes out.  This is what they should look like.

3. Then take the longest piece and fold in the tabs to meet the middle like so.  Repeat on the other side to make a bow.

4. Glue the back of the bow to the shape with the banner ends.  Wrap the rectangle around the middle of the bow and secure with glue or tape.

5. Attach your finished bow to any gift or project and enjoy!

1C1A - Card 4

Hi everyone!
This card I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the butterfly and the thank you tag.  My colors today are blue and black.  I know it isn't really Christmas related but I wanted to share it with you anyway.  I don't have any measurements because you can make it really any way you want.  Comment and share because I'm open for feedback and future post ideas!

3 DIY Gifts/Stocking Stuffers

Hello everyone!
Here are three cute little gifts/stocking stuffers you can make this season if you are running out of ideas.  Hope this helps you!

1. This first idea is just little mini plushies.  Here I have a cloud and smiley face.  I used the straight/running stitch on both of them.  You can also check out my other plushie ideas on this blog.

2. This next one is really simple but perfect for winter.  Handwarmers!  All you do is fold a piece of felt in half, sew up the edges, (leaving a small hole of course) fill it up with rice, and hand sew up the rest.  I used blanket stitch to keep the rice in.  Once your done, heat it in a microwave and then place them in your pockets to keep your hands cozy!

3. This last one is these little pom-pom bag charms.  I made them by wrapping yarn around 4 fingers about 40 times and tying them in the middle.  Then I cut all the little loops and rounded them out until I liked how it looked.  You can make them smaller and use them as bookmarks too.

More Plushies

Hi guys!
It is plushie time again!  I'm returned today, with a robin and watermelon plushie.  I used a straight stitch and a back stitch for the robin, and for the melon I used a straight stitch and the blanket stitch. I  used felt for these but you could use fleece as well.  I made the robin by following a great tutorial by Tammy Hallam.  She has a great Youtube channel with lots of plushies tutorials and tips.  Check out the robin plushie video she made HERE.  She also has a template in the video.  Thanks so much for stopping by and please comment and enjoy!

Just A Note Technique Card

Hello Everyone!
As you can see, I finally have another card for you!  I think this one turned out great.  This card is also a technique card because I tried a few new touches that I haven't tried before.
Technique 1: Tie a knot on the ribbon and then attach it to the card instead of tying a bow on afterwards.
Technique 2: Use letter stickers and a pen to add a special touch to it.  I have the line go through the stickers.
This is a relatively simple card with just stickers and ribbon as a main focal point but I think it has a lovely charm to it.  Anyway, I hope you enjoyed and see you on my next post!!

Card Base: Recollections White Cardstock - A2 (4 1/4 by 5 1/2 in.)

Green Mat: Recollections Cardstock - 5 by 3 1/4 in
